Progressive Glasses
Progressive glasses, often called progressives, feature multifocal lenses designed to provide a seamless transition between different vision strengths, so you can see clearly at multiple distances with one pair of glasses. Unlike single-vision lenses, which have one fixed prescription across the entire lens, progressive lenses gradually change in strength from the top to the bottom. As a result, this allows you to see clearly at varying distances without needing multiple pairs of glasses.
Typically, with progressive glasses, you’ll experience sharp distance vision when looking straight ahead, and clear close-up vision when looking down, which is perfect for reading or other near tasks. In addition, the biggest advantage is that you no longer need to switch between separate reading and distance glasses. As a result, you can see clearly at varying distances without needing to switch between multiple pairs of glasses.
