See clearly again – request an eye test with one of our experienced opticians today!
Through the years our vision will often vary. Some periods we’ll notice that we need to sit a little closer to TV screen, other periods we’ll find that we’re pulling the newspaper just a little closer in order to read the printed letters. Maybe you’ve felt a difference in your eyesight lately, and feel like you need a new pair of glasses? Or maybe you would like a pair of computer glasses for work? Regardless of the situation you find yourself in, we always recommend starting the process with an eye test with one of our experienced optometrists. You can easily book an appointment by filling out the simple form below.
What happens during an eye test?
When you arrive at the store, you’ll walk to the second floor, where our exam rooms are located. We also have an handicap-accessible exam room on the first floor. To ensure that you get an accurate prescription, we have made sure that our optometrists have the latest and greatest technology available. During the eye exam we will control your vision, eye pressure, and field of view. The test will, in addition to improving our understanding of your eyesight, uncover signs of certain diseases, including glaucoma.
After you turn 50 years, we also recommend getting an OCT scan. An OCT image gives a deeper understanding of the conditions of your eyes as it x-rays the inner surface of the eye. Through the OCT scan results we can determine multiple conditions, such as high blood pressure, diabetes and other systemic diseases.
We also have an eye doctor on staff multiple times a month, feel free to contact us if you’d like to set up a consultation with him.
How often should I get an eye exam?
If you don’t notice any significant variations in your vision, it is recommended to visit an optometrist every other year. If you are under 18 years or over 50 years, it is highly advised to visit the optician more frequently.
